Company Profile
Based in Monmouthshire, UK, Invitron is a biotech company with specialist skills in the development of in-vitro diagnostic tests utilising chemiluminescence technology. This technology enables us to develop very high sensitivity assays for use in a wide range of diagnostic applications.

Exporting to customers in Europe, Asia and the USA, Invitron's products currently include a range of high sensitivity test kits for the investigation and management of type 2 diabetes. Based on a 96-well plate format, these tests are quick and simple to use and have been validated by clinical laboratories in Europe and Japan.

Chief Executive
Invitron co-founder and chief executive, Prof. Stuart Woodhead is renowned for the successful development and commercialisation of acridinium ester chemiluminescence technology.  Prior to Invitron, Prof. Woodhead was a co-founder of Molecular Light Technology, where he was chief executive from 1988 until the company’s acquisition by Gen-Probe in 2003. He is a Fellow of the of the Royal College of Pathologists and and co-author of more than 170 publications.
